De vuelta nuevamente en el mundo real, la vida parece ser tranquila para Mo (Lengua de Brujo), Meggie, Resa y la tía Elinor, todos en su casa y con su fascinante biblioteca. Mo continúa haciendo lo que le gusta hacer, reparando y encuadernando libros: «sanando» libros enfermos. Sin embargo, el peligro volverá a tocar a la puerta de los Folchart.

Meggie, quien ha heredado el don de su padre, Lengua de Brujo, dar vida a los personajes de los libros cuando lee en voz alta, irá hacia el Mundo de Tinta con Farid con el propósito de prevenir a Dedo Polvoriendo de un posible peligro: los malvados Basta y Mortola están cerca.

Estando en el Mundo de Tinta, Meggie conocerá al Príncipe Orondo, al Príncipe Negro, a Cósimo el Guapo, el Bosque Impenetrable y el resto de seres fantásticos. Estando en ese mundo, ella conocerá también a Fenoglio, quien posiblemente pueda regresarla al mundo real.

Esta es una nueva aventura de los Folchart en el fantástico Mundo de Tinta, ahora dentro del libro.

Back again in the real world, life looks being quite for Mo (Silvertongue), Meggie, Resa and aunt Elinor. All of them are living at aunt Elinor’s house and her fascinating library. Mo is still working what he loves to do: repairing and bookbinging books: «healing» sick books. But, danger will come back to know the Folchart’s door.

Meggie has inherited the gift from his father, SilverTongue, to bring characters back to life when she reads a book aloud. She will go inside to “Inkworld” with Farid in order to warn to Dustfinger that a possible danger is coming: the evil Basta and Mortola are nearby.

When they are at Ink World, Meggie will meet to Laughing Prince, Black Prince, Cosimo the Fear and the rest of fantastic beings. Inside this world, she also will meet to Fenoglio (the author of the fictional Inkheart), who probably can help her to come back to real world.

This is a new adventure for the Folchart who will be inside of this fantastic world, because they are now inside the book.
